Hello Broken Earth Backers,
I hope you are enjoying the PDF of Broken Earth. If anybody did not receive it please let me know.
Thanks to those who sent me typos to fix. I’m incorporating those and will send out an updated PDF in the coming weeks. If anybody spots anything last minute, there’s still time.
Tales From the Great Lakes Update
One the Tales from the Great Lakes side of things, the first draft of the SS Badger is complete, and the manuscript is now going through revisions and edits. Those should be done later this month. With the draft done, I’m also sending out art orders, and hope to have those back by March, which means we’re probably looking at April for the PDF release of that, though there’s always a chance for delays.
Final Days of Pip and Pawn
Meanwhile, I’ve got another campaign running on Kickstarter for Pip and Pawn. It’s small book themed around board, card, and dice games, with history, monsters, magic items, and more. As I write this, there’s less than 24 hours left in the campaign, and we’re trying to hit a stretch goal to fund a second book.

Surveys Away and Cover Sketch

Hello Kickstarter Backers,
This is just a quick update to make sure you know that Backer Kit surveys were sent out earlier this week. If you don’t see a survey invite, check your junk folder. If you still don’t see one, let me know.
These surveys are especially important for print backers. If you do not fill out a survey, you will not get print books.
Cover Sketch
I’ve gotten a sketch for the new cover for the SWADE version of Broken Earth. Here’s a peak.

Hello Broken Earth Backers,
Welcome to the first of our monthly updates for Broken Earth. I plan to give you a status report each month until the everything is fulfilled for this project.
I’m a bit behind where I’d like to be getting the main book out, partially because my original plans for the new cover fell through, but now I’ve found an new artist who I’m confident will make a great piece. We’re also doing one more final edit on the text to make sure everything is working right.
My new plan is to hopefully get the PDF of the core book out out sometime in December.
Backer Kit Coming Soon
Meanwhile I’m also working on getting backer kit set up for this project. Expect an email with your survey link from them in the coming weeks. This is especially important for print backers, since this is the way that I’ll collect address to ship your books.
I’ll probably send another quick update when those are live.
